How much does it costs to attend a concert?
Admission to the 'McKeesport Concerts in the Park' is free courtesy of the City of McKeesport, the Regional Asset District, and the McKeesport Lions Club.
What items ( if any ) should I bring?
It is recommended that everyone bring either a folding lawn chair or a blanket to sit on during the performance. Wearing comfortable shoes and applying insect or mosquito repellent are two additional suggestions that individuals may want to take into consideration.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes. Those attending the free concerts are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles with them to enjoy. Trash receptacles are be available throughout the park for easy clean up.
Can I purchase food and drinks at the concerts?
Yes. The McKeesport Lions Club operates a concession stand during each concerts. Food Items range from hamburgers, pizza, and hot dogs to popcorn, nacho chips and shaved ice. Beverages include a full line of Pepsi products and bottled water. All proceeds go directly back to the community through McKeesport Lions Club projects.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Pets are permitted in the park during the free concerts as long as they are not aggressive, on a leash and under control at all times. Also, pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
What about cancellations?
Occasionally, concerts have to be cancelled or postponed to a later date due to weather related issues. Inclement weather conditions are actually the greatest adversary to the summer concert series. Some weather related problems include hazardous walking conditions (wet grass), parking issues (muddy terrain) and even band equipment failure (rain, wind, lightning).

How can I find out if a concert has been cancelled?
Cancellations (if necessary) are posted on the day of the scheduled event. Cancellation notices can be found on the main page of the McKeesport Bands website and under the McKeesport Bands facebook page.
